Carpet is very important in my job. I deal with it almost everyday, and have seen pretty much every single design and color in the market. From shags to berber.
When I stepped in this room I didn't know what to think about it. It gave me just a headache trying to look at it. Thank goodness this part of the home wasn't damaged.
I cannot guess as to why someone would do this! Where they trying to make a sound proof room? So is it wall carpet or floor carpet? You be the judge!
You guessed right. This carpet was on the wall, all 100 SF of it.

I bet they got a bunch of cheap carpet samples in every available color!
They definitely have texture.
